Negotiating
can be a key skill for many particularly senior staff. This is
a tried and tested approach based on sound research into what
makes effective negotiators (i.e. those whose approach has credibility
with both sides and who can reach agreements that stick).
The programme is highly practical in its approach. It is built around
a series of case studies with objective feedback being given after
each case so that people slowly assimilate the behaviors that
are known to be used by effective negotiators and avoid those behaviours
that do not lead to successful outcomes.

The course will equip
those attending also to de-personalise the process of negotiating
and apply rational thinking and sound preparation to it.
Participants
are expected to bring their own cases to the event and discuss
and review progress on them, so they can go back to them with renewed
energy and
ideas.
“ This training has helped me in the most practical ways,
to improve the way I negotiate with others. I can be effective
without being combative”
